Access Control and Time Attendance Systems

Access control solutions

SIA KULMEN designs, installs and maintains access control and time attendance systems for offices, warehouses, production sites, apartment buildings and other properties. Scope reflects the site layout, user groups and daily processes.

Users may identify themselves with cards, key fobs, codes, mobile credentials or another method supported by the equipment. Selection considers convenience, control needs, operating conditions and existing infrastructure.

The system can assign doors, zones and permitted periods to each user or group. Management software records access and attendance events for review by authorised personnel with configured permissions.

KULMEN can survey the site, plan equipment and cabling, install components, configure users and scenarios, and test operation. Existing systems can also be assessed, extended and maintained.

Access rights and identification

Planning begins by identifying the doors, gates, turnstiles and controlled zones. User groups, permitted schedules and arrangements for visitors or temporary personnel are clarified before equipment is selected.

A solution may include readers, controllers, electric locks, exit buttons, door sensors and management software. Identification methods and components reflect each entrance, expected use and practical administration needs.

Event records and integrations

Time attendance may use dedicated terminals or access point events when that suits the organisation. Before configuration, users, shifts, event types, reports and responsibility for recorded data are agreed.

After assessment, access control may interface with an intercom, video surveillance, intrusion alarm, lift control or personnel platform. Integration boundaries and exchanged data depend on the interfaces supported by each system.

Installation, testing and maintenance

The site review covers entrances, power, cable routes, network availability and door hardware. After approval, equipment is installed and labelled, controllers connected, users created and access rights configured.

Final testing covers identification, door operation, schedules, event records and integrations. Maintenance may include inspection, functional tests, configuration backup review, fault diagnosis and adjustments when requirements change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions & Answers

We offer various access control systems — card readers, code panels, biometric systems (fingerprints, facial recognition), as well as mobile access solutions using smartphones.
Yes, our access control systems are compatible with most existing door locks and door systems. We can install electromagnetic locks, electric motor locks or integrate with existing infrastructure.
Yes, the access control system creates a detailed event log with information about each entry — which person, at what time and through which door accessed. This data can be viewed both locally and remotely.
The number of users depends on the chosen system. Our systems support from 100 to several thousand users. Each user can have individual access rights, time restrictions and zone access configured.
